Community Learning
We offer many courses in local community-based venues throughout North and South Lanarkshire allowing you to study close to home at a time that suits you. Venues include schools and community centres and many courses offer childcare assistance. Our community-based courses appeal especially to beginners and can be free of charge or at a subsidised cost.
Community Groups
If you are active in your community, the College may be able to support you and your group. The College can provide a number of short courses, one-off workshops and speakers in a wide variety of subjects - Beauty Therapy, Cookery, Health and Fitness and IT.
Partners
The majority of our community-based programmes are delivered in partnership with other agencies and organisations. These partners include: North Lanarkshire Council Community Learning & Development Service, Lanarkshire Carers Centre, and South Lanarkshire Council Community Learning Service and many others.
Satellite Internet Link and Motherwell College laptops
We can now also deliver web-based courses in locations outwith the College, using state-of-the-art computers.
