Beauty Therapy SVQ Level 1 *Course now FULL*
This course is for those who enjoy working with people and would like to learn more about Beauty Care. You will cover basic beauty care skills, such as manicure and pedicure, facial treatments, make-up and reception duties. You will also learn about health and safety and you will assist with treatments in the beauty salons.
During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of linked activities including visits to trade fairs and exhibitions and the chance to participate in beauty therapy competitions, presentations and demonstrations.
You will be assessed during the course by carrying out practical treatments in the commercial salons and by completing written assessments, projects and assignments.
You are required to purchase a beauty care kit, appropriate protective clothing and textbooks.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements
Further Study/Employment
You can progress to SVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy or employment as a beauty assistant within a salon or department store.
