Ravenscraig 2009
Introduction by Hugh Logan, Motherwell College Principal and CEO
Motherwell College is on target to relocate to a brand new purpose built campus,
on the former Ravenscraig site, in August 2009.
The £70million, 200,000 sq ft campus will replace the existing College at Dalzell Drive
in Motherwell.
The new college will provide the local community with a modern and functional environment to
inspire learning in the 21st century.
The new facilities and equipment will provide the best quality of education in Lanarkshire.
Building work on the new college, funded by the Scottish Funding Council and the college’s own
resources, began in October 2007.
I hope that you find this website interesting and informative as we move ever closer to the
relocation. I believe that the visionary design of the college facilities will set a high standard
for the many developments at the regeneration site and look forward to sharing news on our
progress with you as August 2009 approaches.
